The Path

WaRehn's path began where many honest paths begin: with a sense of unease.

After years of professional success in academia and global technology, WaRehn found himself disconnected from personal fulfillment. Chronic stress and physical discomfort led him to explore meditation and yoga, not through belief, but through understanding.

Since 2017, WaRehn has been mentored by his primary teacher, Andrea Fella, alongside other teachers within the Insight Meditation tradition. Since then, he has attended several week- and month-long silent meditation retreats, maintained a regular meditation and yoga practice, and studied ancient teachings, drawing upon his multilingual background.

WaRehn’s teaching is rooted in a desire to walk alongside others as they cultivate mindfulness and ease in daily life. To deepen this practice and service, he is currently training under the guidance of Gil Fronsdal and Ines Freedman in the two-year Dharma Leader Program at the Insight Meditation Center (IMC).

TEACHING AND PRACTICE

Present: Meditation Teacher
Leads a weekly in-person meditation class at Yoga Nyla, offering guidance freely to individuals and groups.

Present: Yoga Teacher Training Co-Guide
Guides groups in meditation practices at Yoga Nyla and Leap Yoga.

2017: Yoga Teacher Training (200-Hour)
Completed foundational certification in yoga philosophy, anatomy, and meditation under the guidance of Jennifer Prugh, Noell Clark, and Matthew Hahn.

2013: Faculty Advisor and Panel Judge, Baja SAE International
Advised a student engineering team to 2nd place worldwide in the presentation event at Baja SAE Washington, and later served on the judging panel for the off-road vehicle design, manufacturing, and racing competition.

2012: Assistant Professor
Lectured and mentored undergraduate engineering students.

2012: University Gold Medalist
Awarded for outstanding academic excellence in engineering.
